Vutrax is currently used by Giastar for for PCB design. It is particularly useful for analogue and RF boards thanks to the versatile manual editing features and support for mechanical drawings. This allows designs for custom-built mechanical parts such as screening cans and milled enclosures to be easily integrated with the PCB design, ensuring that everything fits.
Densely packed multilayer RF boards with surface-mount components on both sides are a Giastar speciality.
Manufacturing data is normally provided in Graphicode format (as generated by GCprevue). This can be read directly by most PCB manufacturers, and the single integrated file reduces the risk of errors. Alternatively we can provide RS274-X (Gerber with embedded aperture information).
Our own easily-customised suite of post-processing programs for generating parts lists and placement data allow manufacturing and procurement data to be provided in the customer's preferred format.
