Milling from solid stock is versatile and creates robust enclosures. It has excellent screening properties if Alocrom finish (conductive) is used on mating surfaces. Heatsinks and mounting brackets can be integrated into an enclosure. We use this in most of our own generic RF modules, also for high value, high-specification custom designed systems. Design data is transferred directly from our CAD system to our manufacturers' CNC (numerically controlled) milling machines.
